These pages are designed to keep you safe and unafraid This online guide is designed to accompany the "Weather Dude" recording Don't Get Scared, Just Get Prepared. See the link on the left to order the recording. You may also click on links on the left side of each page of this guide to see the song lyrics and hear an audio sample from each song. Talk about it As you listen to the songs, talk with your family or friends about storms you all have heard about or experienced. Talk about what they looked like, what they sounded like, and maybe even what you think might have been happening in the atmosphere to cause them. But most of all, talk about what you or others did when the storm came. Was it the right thing? Is there something you should have done differently? Is there a way to better prepare for the next storm? A page for every song For each song, there is a corresponding web page with more information. Each "headline" on the page is a lyric line in the song. Under that "headline," is information you need to know, either to be safe in a particular kind of storm, or to prepare for it. Each page also has "key words to the song" that you may want to sing together and memorize. Then, under "Talk with Your Friends and Your Family" there are several points to talk over with one another to make sure you are ready for every kind of storm that comes your way.
